Leon Edward Chandler

Leon Edward Chandler, age 79, of Lovelady passed away Monday April 3, 2017 at his residence.

He was born June 1, 1937 in Lovelady to parents, Carl Chandler and Helen Calvert Chandler and was a graduate of Lovelady High School. He was employed for many years as a contractor and inspector for Shell Oil Company.

Leon is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Feder Chandler of Lovelady; children, Michael Chandler of Conroe, Jeff Chandler and wife, LaDonna of Spring, and Paula Chandler Roberts and husband, Jimmy of Lake Somerville; grandchildren, Kristen Arita, Christopher Chandler, Cynthia Aston, Jeffery Kyle Chandler, and Brent Chandler DeLany; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Chandler of Bryan; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Helen Chandler; and sister, Melba Anderson.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
