2019 District 20-2A Track Results

LOVELADY – If you had looked quick, you may have just seen a state champion or two fly past you on Wednesday, April 10 or Thursday, April 11 at Lovelady Lions Stadium in Lovelady. The District 20-2A track meet was held earlier this week with both varsity girls and boys competing for a chance to advance to the Area Track Meet which will also be held in Grapeland.

Both varsity boys and girls varsity athletes gathered on the track for a chance to be crowned district champions. The seven schools which made up the district were: Centerville; Grapeland; Groveton; Jewett Leon; Latexo; Lovelady; and Slocum. 

At the girls’ varsity level: Groveton won the girls’ team title with 176 points; Leon finished in second with 164 points; Centerville was third with 99 points; Lovelady finished fourth with 81 points; Grapeland  finished fifth with 68 points; Latexo was sixth with eight points; and Slocum finished seventh with six points.

In the varsity girls’ shot put: Lovelady’s Charmayne Easterling was first with a throw of 32’6.25”; Leon’s Kosima William was second with a throw of 29’10”; Groveton’s Austin Aimee was third with a throw of 29’7”; Groveton’s Eden Dillard was fourth with a throw of 28’10.5”; Groveton’s Jordan Brooks was fifth with a throw of 27’6.5”; and Lovelady’s Destiny McKnight was sixth with a throw of 27’.

In the varsity girls’ discus: Groveton’s Austin Aimee finished first with a throw of 90’1.75”; Groveton’s Canaan Dillard was second with a throw of 89’9.25”; Lovelady’s Kaiden LeMaire was third with a throw of 85’6”; Lovelady’s Charmayne Easterling was fourth with a throw of 84’4.25”; Groveton’s Eden Dillard was fifth with a throw of 8210.25”; and Grapeland’s Stacey Perez was sixth with a throw of 74’4.75

In the varsity girls’ long jump: Grapeland’s Aeriannia Granderson was first with a leap of 16’8.75”; Lovelady’s Kaiden LeMaire was second with a leap of 14’11.25”; Leon’s Grace Hull was third with a leap of 14’6.25”; Groveton’s Rainey Wars was fourth with a leap of 14’6”; Leon’s Serenity Oviedo was fifth with a leap of 14’1.5”; and Leon’s Allee Pervis was sixth with a leap of 13’11.5”.

In the varsity girls’ triple jump: Grapeland’s Aeriannia Granderson was first with a leap of 35’4.5”; Groveton’s Mattie Turner was second with a leap of 30’11.5”; Groveton’s Kaylee McCoy was third with a leap of 30’7”; Leon’s Tara Goolsby was fourth with a leap of 29’.5”; Groveton’s Victoria Smith was fifth with a leap of 28’11.5” and Lovelady’s Brittnie Huester was sixth with a leap of 27’11”.

In the varsity girls’ high jump: Grapeland’s Teira Jones was first with a jump of 5’2”; Lovelady’s Rojanae Polhamus was second with a jump of 5’; Centerville’s Emily Wager was third with a jump of 4’8”; Centerville’s Morgan Richardson was fourth with a jump of 4’8” (based on misses); Lovelady’s Kaiden LeMaire was fifth with a jump of 4’6”; and Leon’s Allee Pervis was sixth with a jump of 4’6” (based on misses).

In the varsity girls’ pole vault: Lovelady’s Jacy Stubblefield was first with a height of 8’-6”; Groveton’s Rainey Wars was second with a height of 7’-6”; and Groveton’s Ingrid Rojo was third with a height of 7’.

In the varsity girls 3200m run: Groveton’s Cait Antley was first with a time of 13:32.63; Groveton’s Kennidee Priddy was second with a time of 1:01.96; Leon’s Tori Salley was third with a time of 14:49.28;  Leon’s Lupita Carrizales was fourth with a time of 16:00.52; and Groveton’s Kasey Drinkard was fifth with a time of 17:23.94.

In the varsity girls 4x100m relay: Leon won with a time of 52.37; Groveton was second with a time of 52.91; Grapeland was third with a time of 53.45; Centerville was fourth with a time of 54.22; and Lovelady was fifth with a time of 1:03.52.

In the varsity girls’ 800m run: Centerville’s Michaela Kmiec finished first with a time of 2:32.05; Leon’s Lauren Salley finished second with a time of 2:38.59; Leon’s Madison Johnson finished third with a time of 2:39.43; Leon’s Tori Salley was fourth with a time of 2:41.15; Centerville’s Kaitlyn Chapman was fith with a time of 2:45.45; and Grapeland’s Kenya Woods was sixth with a time of 2:51.98.

In the varsity girls’ 110m hurdles: Leon’s Caitlyn Bargas finished first with a time of 16.14; Centerville’s Emily Wager finished second with a time of 17.85; Groveton’s Victoria Smith was third with a time of 18.53; Groveton’s Kalie Voss was fourth with a time of 19.54; Leon’s Ingrid Rojo was fifth with a time of 19.82; and Lovelady’s Dakota Williams finished sixth with a time of 20.47.

In the varsity girls’ 100m dash: Grapeland’s Teira Jones finished first with a time of 12.41; Centerville’s Cierra Keeton finished second with a time of 13.49; Grapeland’s Christy Shepherd was third with a time of 13.71; Leon’s Grace Hull finished fourth with a time of 13.8; Leon’s Abby Lim was fifth with a time of 13.9; and Leon’s Abby White finished sixth with a time of 14.04

In the varsity girls 4x200m relay: Leon won with a time of 1:52.49; Groveton was second was with a time of 1:53.62; Centerville was third with a time of 1:55.34; and Lovelady was fourth with a time of 2:02.86.

In the varsity girls’ 400m run: Centerville’s Michaela Kmiec finished first with a time of 1:01.78; Leon’s Lauren Salley finished second with a time of 1:03.82; Slocum’s Gabby Skelton was third with a time of 1:04.13; Groveton’s Rainey Wars was fourth with a time of 1:06.96; Leon’s Madison Johnson was fifth with a time of 1:07.28; and Lovelady’s Kaiden LeMaire was sixth with a time of 1:13.07.

In the varsity girls’ 300m IM hurdles: Leon’s Bargas was first with a time of 48.12; Latexo’s Sulewski was second with a time of 54.99; Groveton’s Kailie Voss was third with a time of 56.04; Centerville’s Richardson was fourth with a time of 56.89; Groveton’s Victoria Smith was fifth with a time of 58.58; and Groveton’s Ingrid Rojo was sixth with a time of 58.98

In the varsity girls’ 200m dash: Lovelady’s Jacy Stubblefield finished first with a time of 27.93; Leon’s Richmond finished second with a time of 28.53; Leon’s Abby Lim finished third with a time of 29.21; Groveton’s McQueen finished fourth with a time of 29.49; Lovelady’s Lovelady’s Rojanae Polhamus was fifth with a time of 29.94; and Groveton’s Turner was sixth with a time of 30.20.

In the varsity girls’ 1600m run: Groveton’s Cait Antley was first with a time of 6:00.64; Centerville’s Kaitlyn Chapman was second with a time of 6:17.2; Groveton’s Kenidee Priddy was third with a time of 6:18.63; Leon’s Madison Johnson was fourth with a time of 6:21.68; Leon’s Tori Salley was fifth with a time of 6:28.18; and Leon’s Lupita Carrizales was sixth with a time of 6:28.36

In the varsity girls 4x400m relay: Centerville finished first with a time of 4:17.73; Leon was second with a time of 4:18.64; Groveton was third with a time of 4:25.04; Grapeland was fifth with a time of 4:32.9; and Lovelady was fifth with a time of 4:53.18.

At the boys’ varsity level: Lovelady won the boys’ team title with 168 points; Centerville finished in second with 150 points; Groveton was third with 95 points; Grapeland finished fourth with 92 points; Leon finished fifth with 47 points; and Latexo and Slocum tied for sixth with 20 points.

In the varsity boys’ shot put: Groveton’s Patrick Glenn finished first with a throw of 45’2.5”; Centerville’s Korey Grisham finished second with a throw of 41’9”; Lovelady’s Timothy Johnson was third with a throw of 40’3”; Groveton’s Martin Chavez was fourth with a throw of 38’3”; Grapeland’s Jason DeCluette was fifth with a throw of 37’9.5”; and Leon’s Nick Ucci was sixth with a throw of 36’6”.

The varsity boys’ discus: Centerville’s Korey Grisham finished first with a throw of 126’0.5”; Groveton’s Patrick Glenn was second with a throw 125’8.75”; Centerville’s Dillan Brent was third with a throw of 99’3.75; Grapeland’s Jason DeCluette was fourth with a throw of 95’5.5”; Groveton’s Luke Taylor was fifth with a throw of 92’7.5”; and Lovelady’s Timothy Johnson was sixth with a throw of 91’1.5”.

In the varsity boys’ long jump: Lovelady’s Tre’ Hawkins finished first with a jump of 21’9.25; Grapeland’s Josh Ackley finished second with a jump of 20’5.25”; Grapeland’s Keizion Ashford finished third with a jump of 20’3.75”; Groveton’s Trenton Terragrossa was fourth with a jump of 19’4.5”; Leon’s Keaton Caveness was fifth with a jump of 18’9”; and Lovelady’s Morgan Thrasher was sixth with a jump of 17’11.25”.

In the varsity boys’ triple jump: Lovelady’s Tre Hawkins finished first with a jump of 42’6; Lovelady’s Jay Thomas Robinson was second with a jump of 41’10”; Groveton’s Eli Stewart finished third with a jump of 40’4.5”; Grapeland’s Josh Ackley finished fourth with a jump of 40’3”; Groveton’s Trenton Terragrossa finished fifth with a jump of 39’5”; and Grapeland’s Keizion Ashford finished sixth with a jump of 36’9”.

In the varsity boys’ high jump: Lovelady’s Jay Robinson finished first with a jump of 6’4”; Lovelady’s Tre’Von Hawkins finished second with a jump of 6’2”; Lovelady’s Logan Lowery finished third with a jump of 5’8”; Leon’s Keaton Caveness finished fourth with a jump of 5’8” (based on misses); Centerville’s Dillon Denman finished fifth with a jump of 5’8” (based on misses); and Leon’s Harris Sherrod finished sixth with a jump of 5’8” (based on misses).

In the varsity boys’ pole vault: Grapeland’s Gavin French finished first with a jump of 12’6”; Lovelady’s Cole Harris finished second with a jump of 10’6”; Lovelady’s Logan Lowery finished third with a jump of 10’; Leon’s Justin Massey was fourth with a jump of 9’6”; Lovelady’s Logan LeBlanc was fifth with a jump of 9’6” (based on misses); and Groveton’s Cade Dixon was sixth with a jump of 9’0”.

In the varsity boys 3200m run: Slocum’s Travis Neal finished first with a time of 11:01.28; Latexo’s Tristan Curless was second with a time of 11:09.27; Centerville’s Josh Franklin was third with a time of 11:21.93; Groveton’s Zach Fisher was fourth with a time of 11:44.04; Groveton’s Michael Knouse was fifth with a time of 12:39.44; and Lovelady’s Caleb Gilchrist was sixth with a time of 12:53.75.

In the varsity boys’ 4x100m relay: Lovelady won with a time of 44.51; Groveton was second with a time of 44.53; Grapeland was third with a time of 44.55; Centerville was fourth with a time of 44.68; and Leon was fifth with a time of 45.15.

In the varsity boys’ 800m run: Centerville’s Josh Franklin finished first with a time of 2:06.21; Centerville’s Cayden Boss finished second with a time of 2:07.53; Lovelady’s Deontrae Hawkins was third with a time of 2:14.73; Centerville’s Apland was fourth with a time of 2:15.57; Lovelady’s Joel Pomeroy was fifth with a time of 2:20.21; and Grapeland’s Keizion Ashford was sixth with a time of 2:22.45.

In the varsity boys’ 110m hurdles: Centerville’s Hunter Ralph finished first with a time of 17.12; Leon’s Justin Massey was second with a time of 17.13; Grapeland’s Gavin French was third with a time of 17.39; Lovelady’s Josh Martinez was fourth with a time of 17.42; Lovelady’s Tamian Platt was fifth with a time of 18.22; and Lovelady’s Morgan Thrasher was sixth with a time of 18.6.

In the varsity boys’ 100m dash: Centerville’s Dunn finished first with a time of 11.26; Lovelady’s Chad Fulgham was second with a time of 11.33; Grapeland’s Cadarian Wiley finished third with a time of 11.5; Grapeland’s Josh Ackley was fourth with a time of 11.56; Leon’s Carlos Beltran was fifth with a time of 12.0; and Groveton’s James Taylor was sixth with a time of 12.42;

In the varsity boys’ 4x200m relay: Groveton won with a time of 1:34.39; Centerville was second with a time of 1:35.0; Grapeland was third with a time of 1:35.33; Leon was fourth with a time of 1:35.49; and Lovelady was fifth with a time of 1:36.34.

In the varsity boys’ 400m run: Centerville’s Willis finished first with a time of 52.04; Centerville’s Josh Apland finished second with a time of 53.99; Lovelady’s Tre Hawkins was third with a time of 54.06; Latexo’s Brandon Filer was fourth with a time of 55.64; Lovelady’s Chris Coleman was fifth with a time of 55.85; and Centerville’s Neubauer was sixth with a time of 56.03.

In the varsity boys’ 300m IM hurdles: Lovelady’s Josh Martinez was first with a time of 45.22; Grapeland’s Gavin French was second with a time of 46.14; Lovelady’s T’amien Platt was third with a time of 46.16; Lovelady’s Morgan Thrasher was fourth with a time of 46.39; Centerville’s Hunter Ralph was fifth with a time of 46.43; and Centerville’s Dillon Denman was sixth with a time of 46.07;

In the varsity boys’ 200m dash: Lovelady’s Chad Fulgham finished first with a time of 23.55; Grapeland’s Tyrin Wiley was second with a time of 23.62; Lovelady’s Michael Price was third with a time of 23.65; Centerville’s Gomez was fourth with a time of 24.24; Lovelady’s Tre’Von Hawkins was fifth with a time of 24.38; and Leon’s Keaton Caveness was sixth with a time of 24.57;

In the varsity boys’ 1600m run: Slocum’s Travis Neal finished first with a time of 4:58.68; Latexo’s Tristan Curless was second with a time of 5:03.14; Centerville’s Josh Franklin finished third with a time of 5:09.26; Groveton’s Zach Williams was fourth with a time of 5:18; Groveton’s Michael Knouse was fifth with a time of 5:36.04; and Groveton’s Blanchard was sixth with a time of 5:40.59.

In the varsity boys’ 4x400m relay: Centerville finished first with a time of 3:30.85; Lovelady was second with a time of 3:39.83; Leon was third with a time of 3:40.93; and Groveton was fourth with a time of 3:42.56.
