Clarence Robert Wagner

Clarence Robert Wagner, age 87, of Grapeland, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Crockett.  He was born May 31, 1931 in Port Arthur to parents, Walter C. and Ester Clare Kountze Wagner.  Clarence served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and afterward, worked in the shipping industry for many years.  He was a collector and seller of gold and silver coins and jewelry, living most of his life in Port Arthur and Beaumont areas.  Clarence and Laura moved to Grapeland where they had lived the past twelve years.

Clarence is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laura Wagner; son, Preston D. Wagner; step-son, Michael Kirkpatrick; step-daughter, Sandra G. Catlett; granddaughters, Jennifer M. McCall and husband, Taliesen, Kailie R. Kirkpatrick; grandsons, Brandon Kirkpatrick and wife, Tiffany, Aaron Catlett; great-grandchildren, Donovon Grimes, Emrys McCall, Cerridwyn McCall, Darien Crocker, Miranda Nelson, Lexie Nelson, Kendence Kirkpatrick; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ester Clare Kountze Wagner; father and stepmother, Walter C. and Lillie B. Wagner; four brothers; one sister.
