Jewel Lucile Whitaker

Jewel Lucile Whitaker, age 94, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Tomball Regional Medical Center.  She was born August 20, 1924 in Nacogdoches County to parents, Eli Jones Y’Barbo and Jerry Augustina Cordova Y’Barbo.

Jewel is survived by her daughters, Barbara Knott and husband, Keith of Tomball, Carolyn Whitehead of Grapeland; grandchildren, Christian Kennon of Grapeland, Joshua Kennon of Grapeland, Jennifer Crist and husband, Joseph of Como, Tiba Jordan and husband, Justin of Grapeland, Sydni Smith and husband, Tony of Point, Damien Cole and wife, Traci of Crockett, Elijah Whitehead of Grapeland, Keith Knott and wife, Holly of Waco; great-grandchildren, Josey Kennon of Crockett, Lucas Kennon of Grapeland, Michael Kennon of Grapeland, Conner Kennon of Lovelady, Chelsea Kennon of Houston, John Collins and girlfriend, Kayla Royal of Como, Colton Collins of Como, Jaeden Collins of Como, Jacob Crist of Como, Cody Jordan of Grapeland, Cole Jordan of Grapeland, Julie Jordan of Grapeland, Joanna Miller of Point, Jack Miller of Point, Lila Smith of Point, Lexton Smith of Point, Aliyah Cole of Crockett, Mathew Cole of Crockett, Keller Knott of Waco; great-great-granddaughter, Lauryn Kennon of Springfield, MO; sister-in-law, Winnie Chapman of Fredricksburg.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Billie Lewis Whitaker; son, Michael David Whitaker; great-grandson, Augustus Kennon; parents, Eli and Jenny Y’Barbo; brothers, Buren Y’Barbo, Merrel Y’Barbo, George Y’Barbo, Douglas Y’Barbo; sister, Grace Ray.

Graveside services were held for Jewel Lucile Whitaker Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Denson Cemetery with Bro. Will Yates officiating.  Family received friends for visitation Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
