Glenn Edward Barrett

Glenn Edward Barrett entered eternal rest on Monday, the 22nd day of October, 2018.  He passed away at Greenbrier Nursing Center of Palestine at the age of 65. 
Mr. Barrett was born in Houston, Texas on the 3rd day of March, 1953 to Glaenn Barrett and Ruby Hilderbrant Barrett.  He lived in Grapeland for about 30 years and worked for T.D.C. for 15 years.  Mr. Barrett was well-liked by everyone and never met a stranger.  He enjoyed farming, telling stories and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ruby Barrett.

Mr. Barrett is survived by his sweet and loving wife of 43 years, Rosa Barrett; daughter, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Cris of Palestine; special daughter, Susan Foster Jammer and Alonso; son, Glenn Barrett, Jr. and Rebecca of Grapeland; sisters, Betty Dutton of Montalba, Margaret Thompson of Grapeland, Glenna Wilson and Jarell of Crockett; grandchildren, Cristobal Rodriguez, III and wife Nikki, Karson Laningham, Abigail Barrett, Travis Barrett, Katie Barrett; and one great granddaughter, Carmen Olivia Rodriguez.  Mr. Barrett is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mr. Barrett’s life will be held at a later date at the First United Methodist Church in Grapeland.
