Raymond Jacob “Pete” Boykin, Jr.

Raymond Jacob “Pete” Boykin, Jr., age 88, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Winfield Nursing Home.  Pete was born July 19, 1930 in Columbus, TX to parents Raymond Jacob Boykin Sr. and Flora Marshall Boykin. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired from the Army.  Pete was a proud Mason and member of the Lothrop Lodge #21 AF and AM.

Raymond is survived by his son, Carl Ray Boykin and wife, Eliza of Crockett; grandchildren, Destiny, BreAnna, Kamryn, Donny Rey, Bugs Joslen, Amanda Joslen; great-grandchildren, Hannah Joslen; great-nephew, Jeff Willoughby and wife, Alisha of Nacogdoches; niece, Deloris Ann Patten of Elkhart; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Flora Boykin; sister, Luna Bennett; brother-in-law, J.B. Bennett.

Military and Masonic Graveside services will be held for Raymond Jacob “Pete” Boykin, Jr. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Milligan Cemetery with Rev. Gene Kellum officiating. Family received friends for visitation Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
