Dorothy Williamson

Dorothy Williamson, 81, of Lovelady, passed away on July 6, 2018, in the Houston County Nursing Home.  Dorothy was born September 12, 1936 in Kennard, to parents, J.M. Hodges and Essie Satterwhite Hodges.  She was retired from Crockett ISD as the director of transportation and food service.  Dorothy was a member of the Lovelady First United Methodist Church, and also United Methodist Women’s Choir.  She was also a member of the Lovelady Evergreen Cemetery Association.

Dorothy is survived by daughters, Cathy Stokes and husband, Gene of Huntsville, Angela Gross and husband, Mike of Lovelady; grandchildren, James Stewart and Kristi Gilliland of Huntsville, Matthew Stokes and Ami Nash of Huntsville, Jamie Gross of Lovelady; great-grandchildren, Savannah Stewart, Cutter Stokes, Hunter Stokes; brother, Chili Hodges and wife, Judy of Crockett; sister-in-law, Sharron Hodges of Onalaska; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.  She is preceded in death by husband, James Williamson; granddaughter, Katelyn Gross; parents, J.M. and Essie Hodges; brother, Victor Hodges; sisters-in-law, Janet Hodges and Marie Hodges.

Funeral services will be held for Dorothy Williamson at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in the Lovelady First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Howell officiating.  Family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.  Interment to follow in the Lovelady Evergreen Cemetery.
