Martha Jean Peevy Ellis

Martha Jean Peevy Ellis was born in Huntsville, Texas on September 24, 1943 to H. Dee Peevy and Lenita Howard Peevy. She entered eternal rest with full faith in her Lord Jesus Monday, April 30, 2018 at Legacy at Town Creek. She was 74 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Claudean Richards, brother Eddie Dee Peevy and son James Ray Howard.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry G. Ellis of Elkhart; brother, Robert E. Peevy (Cindy) of Oklahoma City; daughter, Leah Ellis Kozik (Tim) of Elkhart; and grandchildren Nicholas J. Kozik of Lindale and Natalie C. Kozik of Elkhart.

Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker filled with love and devotion for her family. She brought laughter into every life she touched and will be sorely missed. The family will be forever grateful to the nurses and staff of Legacy at Town Creek and Heart to Heart Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Antrim Cemetery with Chaplain Kenn Sommerville officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Cartmell Foundation for the Cartmell Home Scholarship for Excellence in Nursing.
