Dale Harrelson

Dale Harrelson, 85, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Bryan. Dale was born August 1, 1932 in Lovelady to parents, Bryant Wilson Harrelson and Verna Lee Garrett Harrelson. He attended Lovelady Antioch Baptist Church and worked hard as a farmer and rancher to provide for his family.

Dale Harrelson is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maedean Harrelson of Lovelady; daughters, Vonda Whisman of Lovelady, Toni Kay Harrelson of Lovelady; son, Carl Dale Harrelson, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Lovelady; grandchildren, Kimberly Hahn of Scotland, Jeremy Harrelson and wife, Amber of Lovelady, B.J. Harrelson and wife, Katy of Lovelady; great-grandchildren, Layla, Neve, Karly Jane, Wyatt, Julie Mae; sisters, Myrtie Beth Rollo of Lovelady, Barbara Ann Johnson of Hawaii; brothers, Arrel Harrelson of Lovelady, Terry Harrelson of Huntsville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant and Verna Harrelson; and sister-in-law, June Harrelson.

Funeral service for Dale Harrelson was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the Weldon Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Ledbetter officiating.  Interment followed in Lovelady Antioch Cemetery.  The family received friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.  In lieu of the usual remembrances, donation may be made to the Antioch Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 26, Lovelady, TX 75851.
