Bettye Hargrove

Bettye Hargrove, age 91, of Crockett passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Houston County Nursing Home. Bettye was born August 9, 1926 in Crockett to parents, Dewey B. Sims and Mildred Rawls Sims. She was retired from the Crockett Resource Center and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Central Baptist Church.

Bettye is survived by sons, Rick Hargrove and wife, Debbie of Grapeland, Randy Hargrove and wife, Patty of Grapeland; grandchildren, Jeff Hargrove, Julie Davenport, Courtney Blair and husband, Mike, Robert Burns, Brian Hargrove, Randy Hargrove Jr. and wife, Lea Ann; great-grandchildren, Weston, Lane, Cole, Cy, Colby, Jordan, Michael, Kasen, Cameron, Angel, Emily, Veronica, Garrett, Corbin, Ashton, Trevor, Jenny Lynn and Nathan; great-great-granddaughter, Marley; brother, Van Sims and wife, Cindy of Wesley Chapel; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pat Sims of Wesley Chapel, George and Emily Hargrove of Crockett.

She was preceded in death by husband, Charles “Charlie” Hargrove, granddaughter, Tammy Hargrove, brother, J. D. Sims, sister,  Byrdie Satterwhite; grandson-in-law, Billy Davenport.

Funeral services for Bettye Hargrove were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Family received friends for visitation at noon prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
