Auto-Pedestrian Crash Sends One to Hospital

CROCKETT – An early afternoon wreck on Friday, June 1 involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian resulted in the pedestrian being airlifted to an area hospital.

The crash occurred shortly afternoon when a female pedestrian was attempting to cross a street on the Downtown Crockett Square to reach the Houston County Courthouse Annex.

The driver of a black pickup apparently did not see the female crossing the street and struck her with his vehicle.

The female was stabilized for transport by EMS crews and then airlifted to an area hospital. Her condition and the status of the driver are unknown as of press time. No further details of the incident are available.
