Thomas L. “Little Fady” Hammond, Sr.

Thomas L. “Little Fady” Hammond, Sr. age 78, of Pasadena passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 in Houston Hospice. He was born September 20, 1939 in Port Arthur to parents, Lafayette Hammond and Ruby Harrell Hammond. Thomas was an Appraiser for the Texas Comptroller’s Office and also an ordained minister.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hammond of Pasadena; sons, Thomas L. Hammond, Jr. of Nacogdoches , Thomas R. Hammond, Sr. and wife, Sondra of Vidor , and Stephen Hammond and wife, Tammy of Lufkin; step-daughter, Shonda Whitney and husband, Eric of Pasadena; grandchildren, Gayla, Thomas R. Hammond, Jr., Samuel Hammond, Brian Hammond, Jonathan Hammond, Ruby Hammond, J. T. Hammond, Rebecca Whitney, Zoey Whitney; great-grandchildren, Tripp and Selah; sister, Dolly Ballard of Huntington; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by parents, Fady and Ruby Hammond; sister, Ollie Ann Bradberry; and grandparents, James T. Hammond and Ollie Hammond.

Funeral services for Thomas L. Hammond were held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in the Holly Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. prior to service.
