David Keith Kilgore

David Keith Kilgore, 68 of Palacios, TX passed away April 23, 2018 at St Davids Hospital in Austin, TX. He was born February 15, 1950 in Palacios, TX to Walter Elliott Kilgore and Nettie Charlene Lewis Kilgore.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Walter B. Kilgore and Leona Wright Kilgore. He is survived by his children David Jason Kilgore (wife Tiffany) of New Braunfels TX and Jamie Rhiann Kilgore of Rockport TX, sisters Karla Kilgore Carr (husband Jerry) of Corsicana TX and Cindy Kilgore Peterson (husband Mark) of Leander TX, three grandchildren Adria, Logan, and Kynlee, all of Rockport TX, nephews Chad-Alan Carr of Gettysburg, PA and Darren Carr of Grapeland, TX, great niece Anisten Carr of Grapeland.

Keith grew up and attended school in Palacios and graduated from Ingleside High School. He was a US Army Veteran, 339th Combat Engineers and a dedicated lawman with over 30 years experience; Matagorda County Sheriff & all positions leading there, as well as Chief Criminal Investigator for both Caldwell and Houston Counties. He loved his Family, Friends, and the People he Served.

A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date.
