Robbie Mae Dickson

Robbie Mae Dickson was born July 7, 1942 to the late Robert Lee Dickson and Johnnie Mae Walker Dickson in Grapeland, Texas.  At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Grapeland, Texas.  She later moved to Dallas, Texas and attended West Glenn Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.  Later she joined The Church At Nineveh which was founded by her sister Pastor Dr. Angie L.  Dickson, who preceded her in death.  Her pastor of The Church At Nineveh at the time of her death was Pastor Andra Reed, the son of her late sister Bobbie Reed.

She graduated from W. R. Banks High School in Grapeland, Texas.  She moved to Tyler, Texas and went to nursing school and received her LVN License.  She worked in Tyler, Texas as a nurse for a number of years.  Later, she moved to Dallas, Texas and went to El Centro College and graduated with an RN license.  She then attended Baylor School of Nursing and received her PGPN license.  She retired from Baylor Hospital after 40+ years.  After retiring from Baylor, she continued t work as a contract nurse.

In 1979 she went to Real Estate School to become a licensed real estate agent and then later became a real estate broker and investor.

She departed this earthly life on February 1, 2018 at 3:06 P.M. at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas joining her parents (Robert and Johnnie M. Dickson), two brothers (Clearance L. Dickson and John L. Dickson), two sisters (Bobbie J. Reed and Dr. Angie L. Dickson), and one nephew (Joseph T. Reed).

She leaves to mourn an adopted son, Malcolm Z. Dickson, two sisters Maryan Green of Dallas, Texas and Maloyce Dickson (Danny) of Dallas, Texas,  five nephews Andra Reed (China), Patrick Crowder (Rashunda), Darryl LuKnotley, Calvin Evans II, and Calvin Evans III).  Four  nieces Armelia Evans (Kennedy and Calvin III), Tara Dickson, and Bridgett  Baker, Zerlina Reed (Courtney and Joshua),two sisters-in-laws Linda Dickson and Bettye Dickson, and a host of great nieces  & nephews, relatives, and friends.

Services were held Saturday February 10, 2018, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Grapeland, Texas, and she was laid to rest at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Ceremony, Grapeland, Texas. To sign the guest book visit walkerandwalkerfh.com Walker & Walker Funeral Home
