N’Awlins Crawfish Festival Looks to ‘Connect With the Community’

CROCKETT – The N’Awlins Holding Association and the Houston County Business Group are teaming up to sponsor the inaugural Superbowl Crawfish, Blues and Country Fest at the Davy Crockett Memorial Park Pavilion.

The event, which has been given the theme of “Connecting With Communities of Houston County,” is set for Saturday, Feb. 3 from 1-6 p.m.

“Great memories will result from this event between people and cultural exchanges,” said Jeffield Jefferson, president of the N’Awlin’s Holding affiliated Jefferson Denniandrus Group Marketing and Advanced Project Management (JDG). “The inaugural event invites the Houston County communities to join in the spirit of fun and fellowship by attending the event with the entire family.”

According to Jefferson, the event will feature live performances of blues and country music by some of the most popular musicians and singer/songwriters in the state of Texas, as well as duet karaoke, a talent show, a dance contest and a bounce house.

Drawings will be held for a rifle and a bicycle. Tickets will be available for $8 apiece or two for $12.

Crawfish, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, mushrooms and corn will be served during the event.

According to the program agenda, guest speakers include Karen Johnson and a tentatively scheduled surprise guests. The sponsors, staff and volunteers associated with the event will be recognized, as well as those in attendance.

Admission is $17 per person and may be paid in advance or upon arrival at the pavilion on the day of the event.
