Eloise Morgan McCaskill

Eloise Morgan McCaskill, age 98 of Malvern Community, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at her home.  Eloise was born September 19, 1919 in Center Hill, Texas to Alvin Morgan and Eva Brown Morgan.  On May 7, 1938, she married Harold McCaskill of Malvern Community and they had two daughters, Linda and Betty.  Eloise worked for 21 years at Allee Manufacturing and volunteered at the Houston County Hospital for over 18 years.  She was an active member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and also the First United Methodist Church of Crockett.

She is preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Eva Morgan; husband, Harold Wilson McCaskill; and son-in-law, Buddy Robinson.   Eloise was the 2nd of seven children and was also preceded in death by siblings, Nolan Morgan, Alvin B. Morgan, Donald Roy Morgan and Jacqueline Morgan Berch.

Eloise loved her family dearly especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a people person, having a servant’s heart and there was always room for one more at her table.   Always opened to adventure, Eloise loved to travel especially with her girls.  She greeted every new adventure with eyes full of amazement and a heart full of joy.   She worked diligently to obtain the historical marker for Tubb Cemetery where she served on the board for numerous years.

Eloise is survived by her daughters, Linda McCaskill Robinson of Crockett and Betty McCaskill Nash and husband, Don of San Marcos; grandchildren, Bobby Robinson and wife, Cindy of Malvern Community; Angie Robinson Musgrove and husband, Doug of Carthage; Matt Nash and wife, Kristi of Bryan, Brian Nash and wife, Lindsay of San Antonio; thirteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by sister, Billie Morgan Doyle of Austonio; brother, Henry Morgan of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Claudine Morgan of Humble; devoted friend and caregiver, Ruby Berry; numerous nieces, nephews and many great friends.

Funeral services for Eloise Morgan McCaskill will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the First United Methodist Church, Crockett.  Interment will follow in the Tubb Cemetery.  Family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or your charity of choice.  Online condolence may be made at www.callawayallee.com
