Steve Strban
Steve Strban, age 103, of Crockett, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the Houston County Nursing Home.
Steve was born December 25, 1914 in Crockett to parents, John and Annie Chreno Strban. He was a graduate of the Salt Branch School and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. Steve was a farmer and rancher most of his life and also a member of Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Linda Bullock and husband, Rodney of Crockett, Steve Edward Strban and wife, Sue of Crockett; grandchildren, Michelle Bullock and husband, Harry Grubbs of Georgia, Rodney Bullock, Jr. and wife, Lindsay of Baytown, Steve Lynn Strban and wife, Christina of Crockett, Kimberly Duhon and husband, Randy of Grapeland; great-grandchildren, Thomas Austin Bullock, Anne-Marie Myers and husband, Garrett, James Andrew Wilson, Savannah Grace Wilson, Marley Duhon, Lexie Bullock, Lacey Bullock, Daniel Sandefer and wife, Lauren, Trendell McWhirter, Gage McWhirter; great-great-grandchildren, Greyson Myers, Annilynn Sandefer, Bella Sandefer .
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorthye Ann Farek Strban; parents, John and Annie Strban; three sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services for Steve Strban were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tim Allen, officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park. The family received friends for visitation prior to service.
