Eudia Bell Davis Lewis

Eudia Bell Davis Lewis was born June 23, 1923 in Grapeland, TX to Nat & Esther Mae Chase Davis. Eudia was raised in the Grapeland community, where she also attended school.

She accepted Christ early in life and was a member of The Church of Living God, Grapeland, TX.

Eudia married Jessie James Lewis and to this union they were blessed with 6 children.

Mrs. Eudia was a homemaker and worked as a domestic caretaker for many years.

On December 23, 2017, at Windfield Nursing Home, Crockett, TX, Eudia was called home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nat and Esther Davis, husband Jessie James Lewis, brother Robert Lee Davis, daughter Linda Davis, and grandchildren Kevin and Lisa Lewis.

Eudia will always be remembered by her loved ones; sons George (Mattie) Lewis, and John (Josie) Lewis, both of Dallas, TX, Jerry (Gloretha) Lewis, Grapeland, TX; daughters Georgia (William) Garner, Texas City, TX, Louise Lewis, Grapeland, TX, sister-in-law Inez Davis, nineteen (19) grandchildren, forty-four (44) great-grand children, 21 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Eudia Bell were Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Eleven ‘O Clock at Rising Star Baptist Church with Reverend Jerome Simpson, Officiant.

Arrangements were under the direction of Walker & Walker Funeral Home of Grapeland.
