Genesis 3- “Adam Sinned”

At the beginning of this chapter it says, “The serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field…. And, he said to the woman, ‘Indeed has God said, You, shall not eat from any tree of the garden?’ The woman said to the serpent, …’from the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or
you will die.’

The serpent said to the woman, ‘You surely will not die…. For
God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’

Eve then looked at the tree and the  fruit looked nice and believed it would make her wise, she ate its fruit and gave some to Adam, and he ate it.”

Immediately they knew they were naked and therefore sewed fig leaves together to cover their bodies. In that instant they both died spiritually!  They had no more pleasant or peaceful fellowship with God. Sin separated them. They now had sinful natures inside (the impulse to do more evil).  Adam is the main one at fault. The Apostle Paul says, “Eve was deceived.”  But Adam knew they were doing wrong. Adam should have gotten Eve away from the serpent. He failed at protecting Eve, himself, and all of mankind to follow from being sinful!  This was the most tragic day, spiritually, for the whole world! The Dispensation of Innocence had ended. The Dispensation of Conscience had begun.  Awful!
