Richard Lee Hester
Richard Lee Hester, age 82, of Porter Springs passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Sweeny, Texas. Richard was born December 17, 1934 in Tomball to parents, Harold Hester and Ora Pauline Mann Hester. He was a veteran of the United States Marines serving during the Korean Conflict. Richard worked and retired as a consultant in the oilfield.
Richard is survived by wife, Jean Hester of Porter Springs; children, Sandra Norman and husband, John of Grapeland, Rebecca Bruner and husband, Gerald of Porter Springs, Richard Harold Hester of Porter Springs, Jennifer Hester and husband, Sorin Popescu of Bryan; grandchildren, Rachel, Amie, Leigh, James, Erica, Kimberlee, Melodie, Storm, Shelby, Collin, Parker, Ethan; great-grandchildren, Marley, Sunny, Lily, Kyran, Pepper, Christian; cousin, Georgia Ann Hester Etzel of California; nephew, Grover Smith III of California; niece, Sarita Smith of California; numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Ora Hester; brother, Harold Wayne Hester; sister, Dorothie Deonier.
Funeral services for Richard Lee Hester will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Porter Springs Church with Rev. Frank Spates officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
