Nell Amy
Nell Amy, age 85, of Crockett and Belott passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in the Houston County Nursing Home. Nell was born March 13, 1932 in Houston County to parents, Calvin Lee McCullar and Annie Alma Yarbrough McCullar. She loved to sew and was an accomplished self-taught seamstress. Nell was a member of the New Energy Church for many years.
Nell is survived by children, Yvonne Newton of San Antonio, Vernon Amy and wife, Karen of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Raymond Amy and wife, Brenda of Chattanooga, TN, Michael Amy and wife, Tracy of Houston; grandchildren, Dionne McBride and husband, Kurt of Round Rock, Dustin Amy and wife, Amy of Corpus Christi, Kyle Amy and wife, Melissa of Pflugerville, U. S. Air Force Tech Sgt Angela McAllister and husband, Jeffrey of New Mexico; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lewis of Houston, Juanita Aguillard of Louisiana; other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Clayton Amy; brother, Charlie; sisters, Dorothy, Lucille, and Addie.
Funeral services for Nell Amy will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Gillet officiating. Interment will follow in the New Energy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
