Johnnie Mae Upchurch

Johnnie Mae Upchurch, age 70, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 in CHI Lufkin Memorial Hospital. Johnnie was born April 27, 1947 in Bryan to Harvey Morgan Adams and Jackie Hammock Adams. She was a Christian and a member of Kennard Baptist Church. Johnnie worked at the sawmill for many years.

Johnnie is survived by her children, Brenda Upchurch of Huntington, Truman Upchurch of Lufkin, Roy Richardson and wife, Rickie of Nacogdoches, Ricky Yielding of Arkansas; grandchildren, Truman Michael Upchurch and wife, Tiqua of Timpson; Stephen Upchurch of Lufkin, Patrick Upchurch of Timpson; brothers, James Adams of Houston, Raymond Adams and wife, Ruth of Lufkin; sister, Gloria Adams of Crockett; numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Truman Larry Upchurch; son, Robert Richardson; parents, Harvey Morgan Adams and Jackie Hammock Adams; sister, Bonnie Adams; brother, Butch Adams.

Graveside funeral services for Johnnie Mae Upchurch will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in the Madisonville City Cemetery, Mr. Clyde Blackmon, officiating.
