Reba Congleton Worley

Services for Reba Congleton Worley age 98 of Palestine were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Brother Rick Dees officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Park. Arrangements were entrusted to and provided by Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Worley passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Trucare Living Center. She was born October 23, 1918 in Grapeland, Texas to Ira Murdock and Clarice Skidmore Murdock.

She was a homemaker and a member of Westwood Baptist Church and former member of Crockett Road Church of Christ.

She was a wonderful Christian, a dedicated, loving wife, mother, and grandmother with a beautiful smile that would melt your heart.

We know our mother is smiling down from her heavenly home that she longed to go to for so long.

  Mrs. Worley was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Otis Congleton, and her second husband Paul Worley, a son James Congleton, grandson Randy Congleton, son-in-law Alvin Morton, and step daughter Sandra Ives.

She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Evelyn Nichols, Katherine Huyerdahl, Elenora Barker, Eva Shaver, Claudine Courtney and Flora Alice Brookshire, and two brothers, John Ellis Murdock and Earl Murdock.

Her survivors are her son Gerald Congleton and her daughter Alice Congleton Morton, both of Palestine, two step-sons Elward Worley of Bossier City, LA., and Jerry Worley of Palestine, a grandson Rodney Congleton, two granddaughters Gwenda McElroy and Marnita Meeks, and great grandson, J.W. Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, 207 S. Magnolia, Palestine, TX. 75801.
