Ruth Harmon

Ruth Harmon, 90, formerly of Crockett, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at her home in Cleveland, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born April 30, 1927 in Waller, to Benjamin Franklin Mathis and Kitty Jane Thomas Mathis. Mrs. Harmon loved her family dearly and was the “Caretaker” always looking out for everyone over herself. She will be greatly missed.

Ruth is survived by her children, Jerry Harmon and wife, Toni of Indiana, Linda K. Brown and husband, Jimmie of Cleveland, Reba Jane Burns and husband, Sidney of Damon; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous other loving relatives and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Harmon; son, Bobby Gerald Harmon; grandsons, Clayton Earl Burns, Dwayne Simpson; three brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services for Ruth Harmon were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tim Allen officiating.

Interment followed at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
