Postponed!

LUFKIN – The Lovelady Lions opened a best-of-three series against the Shelbyville Dragons on Thursday, May 11 for the Area Championship. However, with the score tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth and the Lions at-bat, the game was postponed because of weather conditions.

The game was scheduled to be completed on Friday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m., with game 2 set to start 30 minutes after its conclusion. Unfortunately, as of press time, the scores for games 1 and 2 were not available.

If necessary, game 3 is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. All games are being held at Morris Frank Park in Lufkin.
