Bobby Renay Minter

Bobby Renay Minter, age 60, of Crockett passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at his home.

He was born February 11, 1957 in Crockett, Texas to parents, Bobby Jack Minter and Kathryn Gallant Minter.

He was a member of the Grace Street Church of Christ.

Bobby never met a stranger, treated everyone as equals, and took time for anyone in need. He was a loving family man, the “best dad ever” and his door was always open.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tracy Minter of Crockett; children, Shannon Renay Young and husband, Mark of Haslet, Cassie Elaine Minter of Crockett, and Matthew Eric Minter and wife, Tracy of Tomball; grandchildren, Madison Minter of Lufkin, Maklory “Maky” Minter of Crockett, Myka Minter of Crockett, and Cooper Young of Haslet; father, Bobby Jack Minter of Crockett; brother, Roger Minter of Tyler; sister, Donna Ufen and husband, Joe of Magnolia; mother-in-law, Lucy Sherrod of Crockett; sister-in-law, Donna Garrett and husband, Johnny of Crockett; brother-in-law, Tom Sherrod and wife, Kim of Latexo; numerous other nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Minter; and father-in-law, Alan Sherrod.

Memorial services for Bobby Renay Minter were held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Josh Crabtree and Rev. John Goss officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that bright colored balloons be present at the service.

Arrangements were under the direction of Callaway-Allee Memorial Funeral Home.
