Nicholas Damion Collins

Nicholas Damion Collins passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.  He was born October 7, 1998 in Lufkin to parents, Heather Hammond and Geno Collins.  He was a senior at Groveton High School.  Nicholas’ favorite subject was Agriculture. He loved to be outside working with his hands.  He also loved to go fishing and hunting.  Nicholas loved to joke around and make people laugh.  He was so full of life and always had a smile for you and would lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it, no matter what.

Nicholas is survived by his parents, Heather and Darrell Hammond of Grapeland and Geno Collins of Lufkin; sisters, Alexis Collins and Lacy Hammond of Grapeland; grandparents, Gary and Marilynn Raines of Grapeland, Marquerite Clem of Grapeland, Faye Johnson of Houston County; aunts and uncles, Crystal and Freddy Wilson, Morrell and Jeremy Bowman, Nathan Collins and Terri Ware; cousins, Clay Bowman, Cheyenne Bowman, John Bowman, Tori Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Rylee Wilson; adored nephew, Andrew Duval; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrell Clem.

Funeral services for Nicholas Damion Collins will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Grapeland First Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Nivens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Alllee Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517 or Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017.  Online condolences may be made at www.callawayallee.com
