Jean Grounds

Jean Grounds, age 93, of Crockett passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Houston. She was born December 4, 1923 in Sandy Bedfordshire, England. She attended the All Saints’ Episcopal Church of Crockett

She is survived by her daughter, Cathryn Husak and husband, Pete of Houston; son, Jeffry Grounds and wife, Treva of Azle; grandchildren, Andrew Husak of Denver, Alexander Husak of Houston, Cory Pollock of Azle, and Robert McCaslin, Jr. of Watauga; brother-in-law, Grady Grounds, Jr. of Porter Springs; sisters-in-law, Mary Becvar of Latexo and Betty Hines of Crockett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Grounds; brother, Donovan Brown and wife, Lillian of Bedfordshire, England; sisters-in-law, Helen Rollo, Vonnie Sheffield, Carol Grounds; and niece, Penny Grounds.

Funeral services for Jean Grounds were held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in the Latexo Cemetery.
