Wanda Jean Gaddis

Wanda Jean Gaddis, age 81, of Crockett passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Houston County Nursing Home. She was born July 4, 1935 in Eagle Lake to parents, Homer Roy Gaddis and Dorothy Eudora Waldon Gaddis. Wanda graduated in the top ten of her class from Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church, and also a part of the Loaves and Fishes program. She was treasurer of the Legal Secretaries Association and was a trust officer and employee of the Bank of Southwest for 21 years. After retirement, she went to work at the University of Houston in the Social Phycology department and then fully retired in 2000 at age 65.

She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Michka and husband, Louis of Crockett, Anne Schmidt of Austin; sister-in-law, Margie Gaddis of Cushing; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Dorothy Gaddis; brothers, Roy Gaddis, Kenneth Gaddis, L.V. Gaddis, and Ricky Gaddis.

Memorial services for Wanda Jean Gaddis will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church with Father Gary Rottman officiating.
