GRAPELAND – The Grapeland Elementary School Young Businessmen’s Club went on a field trip of sorts on Thursday, Jan. 12 as they were given a tour of Grapeland State Bank.

GES Principal Don Jackson led the group of young men into the financial institution and was greeted by Grapeland State Bank Vice President Pat McNeive along with Loan Office Julie Rhone.

The club is comprised of GES students from first through fifth grades and all the students were on their best behaviors as the GSB personnel explained some of the inner workings of the bank.

The young men, decked out in professional attire, were informed of: how decisions were made in the boardroom; the basics of applying for a loan; how banks make a profit; and the importance of a dressing appropriately in business environments.
