Betty Maurine Turner

Memorial services for Betty Maurine Turner age 76 of Flint will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Bailey & Foster Funeral Chapel in Grapeland with Rev. David Harkins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Ms. Turner died Tuesday at Whitehall Nursing Center in Crockett. She was born October 5, 1940 in Houston County to Olan Jackson Turner and Lura Mae Nealy Turner. Ms. Turner was employed as a carpenter.

Ms. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ailene Wallace and Lillian Lewis, and a brother Bruce Goolsby.

She is survived by her daughter Helen Dise and husband Danny of Crockett, sisters Ruby Schanfish of Tyler, Nelda Harkins and husband David of Ben Wheeler, and Vivian Turner of Elkhart, a brother John Turner and wife Dovie of Latexo, two grandchildren John O’Bannon of Crockett and Terry Dise and wife Teandrea of Arlington, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and special niece Terri G. Schanfish.
