Charles Irwin

Charles Irwin, age 81, of Crockett passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Timberlands Health Care. Charles was born June 18, 1935 in Houston to parents, James Oscar Irwin and Annie Vesta Penny Irwin.  He was owner and retired from Charlie Brown Sewer Service in Houston and was of the Baptist faith.  Charles loved cars, traveling the states and playing poker and cards.   He is survived by wife, Annie Jane “Polly” Irwin of Crockett; daughter, Polly Ann Caldwell and husband, Vaden of Crockett; granddaughters, Haley Caldwell of Huntsville and Holly Caldwell of Crockett; brothers, David Irwin and wife, Elsie of Houston and P. O. “Buster” Irwin of Houston; sister, Linda Rumfolo and husband, Johnny of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Charles was preceded in death by father, James Oscar Irwin and mother, Annie Vesta Colburn; sisters, Ruby Eure, Early Barron and Jeanette Blanc; brothers, Otha Irwin and Wilmer Irwin. Funeral services for Charles James Irwin will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Weldon Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
