HOUSTON COUNTY – A one vehicle wreck left a Grapeland man dead on Sunday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The DPS reported 37-year-old Corey Dancer of Grapeland was traveling northbound on U.S. Hwy. 287 when he lost control of the 2004 Buick he was driving as he rounded a curve.

The vehicle left the roadway, overturned and ejected Dancer from the Buick, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened roughly three miles south of Grapeland at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 18. Dancer was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 4:30 a.m.
