Maynard Carnes

Funeral Services for Maynard Carnes, age 56 of Slocum, will be Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. in Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery in Slocum.

Mr. Carnes passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born February 5, 1960 in Palestine, Texas to L.Z. Carnes and Annie Mae Hart Carnes. He was an automobile painter by profession. Mr. Carnes was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Carnes leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Vicky Pearson Carnes of Slocum; son, Michael Work of Palestine; and brother, Haskell Carnes of Slocum.

Pallbearers will be; Damon Carnes, Keith Carnes, Richard Farris, Louis Johnson, Bruce Stewart, and Dennis McClelland.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Rhone Funeral Home.
