Lady Dawgs Scratch out Win over Lady Lions, 51-33

By Will Johnson Messenger Reporter  CROCKETT – The Crockett Lady Bulldogs welcomed the Henderson Lady Lions to the Andrew J. Hopkins Activity Center for a basketball game on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 26 and soundly defeated their guests by a final score of 51-33. The Lady Dawgs led throughout the contest and were never really threatened after they jumped out to an 18-6 first quarter lead. Sandies Open Season with Back-to-Back Wins

City of Crockett and WCID Meet to Discuss Water Quality

By Will Johnson Messenger Reporter CROCKETT – In correspondence from Crockett City Administrator Sean Hutchison to Russel Bond, General Manager of WCID (Water Control and Improvement District) #1, the city administrator stated the water being purchased from the WCID #1 “… fails to meet State water quality standards.” As a result of the failed standards, Hutchison requested a reduction in the minimum monthly amount of water required to be purchased as outlined in the Treated Water Supply Contract between Houston County WCID #1 and the City of Crockett.
