Evelyn Franks
Evelyn Franks, age 75, of Crockett passed away November 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 14, 1941 in the Creek Community of Houston County to parents, Virgil and Jennie Elliott Dyches. Evelyn served as Houston County Justice of the Peace in precinct two for several years. She had a great love for her family and her home was always open to them.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Yahr and husband, Dwit of Crockett, Russell Smith of Kosse, Jason Stowe, Jacob Stowe of Crockett, and Janessa Stowe of Crockett; grandchildren, April Revere and husband, Kevin of Hutto, Laura Flowers and husband, Corbin of League City, Mitchell Lee Stowe of Kosse, Kimberly Stowe of Kosse, and Julia Smith of Hallssville; great-grandchildren, Colin Revere, Peyton Revere, Brady Revere, Sawyer Revere, Layla Flowers, and Jude Flowers; sisters, Betty Jean Stowe of Crockett and Joyce Bradshaw of Crockett; brothers, Kenneth Dyches of Huntsville and Bill Dyches of Crockett; numerous other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Franks; son, Mitchell Todd Stowe: sisters, Lorene Gomez, Virgie Jean Shipp, Betty Jo Beard, Wilma Snoe, and Loyce Bobbitt.
Memorial services for Evelyn Florence Franks were held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Street Church of Christ with Rev. Ottis Byers officiating.
