THE WEEKENDER

Honestly, he wasn’t my guy when this started”

I guess we will all be in withdrawal for some time. The elections are over. What ever will we talk about now? Donald Trump is our President Elect. I’m not sure anyone really thought he had a chance when this thing started but here we are. He won! Honestly, he wasn’t my guy when this started. But, here at the end he’s the one who survived. After this election, I’ll be surprised if anyone has the guts to put their name on a ballot. How ugly can politics get?

As I set here, I wonder what Obama must be thinking? After 8 years in office his only victories were Obamacare, the Iranian Deal and the bailout. All of these will be thrown out and he will be known as the President who was so bad that all three branches of the government have gone Republican for the first time since 1928. He created more national debt than all the Presidents before him, opened our borders to everyone, ruined relationships with international allies, destroyed our military might, placed Muslims in critical positions of government at a time when their extremists want to destroy us, sent racial relations back 60 years, allowed the IRS to target conservative groups, allowed Mrs. Clinton to use a server that compromised our national security and I won’t mention the Iranian deal that gave Iran a path to a BIG bomb and money to finance the extremists in their war against us. Mrs. Clinton supported all that and wants to expand it all and give a free college education to all. Unreal. What scares me is that folks voted for all that.

I know that there are readers who totally disagree with the things I just said. That’s what makes this country so great in spite of its distractors. I have no hate for anyone who disagrees with me. I simply just don’t understand their viewpoint. I’m grateful that I can say what I believe and it’s still probable that I won’t have my head lopped off tomorrow for believing the way I do. To me it’s simple. Come here legally. We speak English here. This is a Christian faith based nation. We want to celebrate our Lord, Christmas, our flag, our pledge of allegiance and our history. Evan the parts that may offend some. If you can’t come here and respect those few norms then stay away.

If you are a foreign country and burn our flag or hurt our people don’t expect our money! We can use it right here. The outcome of this past election should not be a big surprise to anyone who was paying attention. Americans are very idealistic people. Thank God that this year there were enough American voters to finally realize that our good nature and idealism must eventually be seasoned with a good dose of reality. Eventually the checkbook is empty! Nothing is free and eventually all the welfare and freebies have to be paid for. I don’t have any more to give. I can’t even afford my family’s insurance. May God continue to bless Houston County and the USA.
