Neddie B. Leonard

Mr. Neddie B. Leonard (65) was born January 20, 1951, in Grapeland, Texas, the third of seven children to the late Willie P. Leonard and Ned Leonard. 

He was raised in the Zion Community and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age.

Neddie attended W.R. Banks and graduated from Grapeland High School.  After graduation he attended Bindery Training School and worked as a Bindery Journeyman for over 40 years until his health began to fail.

He was joined in union with Ruby Johnson,  and to this union one child was born, Lenita Leonard.

Neddie is preceded by his daughter Sharhonda Whitt; parents Willie and Ned Leonard; brothers Robert Wayne Leonard, Max Edwin Leonard; and sister Emma Faye Leonard.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughter Lenita (Bryant) Bailey, Dallas, TX; his son Mario Hall, Dallas, TX; sisters Bobbie Warfield (Andrew), Georgia  Garrett (Howard- Deceased), and Julia Leonard, all of Houston, TX; uncle John L. Walker, Dallas, TX; special cousin Frank McDaniel, Houston, TX; and seven (7) grandchildren – LaTarsha, Terrance, Ronmellow, Jamarion, Jayden, Amarion and Kimberly. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Services for Neddie B. Leonard  will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at

Cedar Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Grapeland, TX.  Internment: Cedar Branch Cemetery.
