GRAPELAND – It is spook-tacular time at the Grapeland Fire and EMS and the first responders are inviting to public to participate in the fun events and candy giving at the fire department.
Put on your Halloween costumes, scare up the kids and bring the little monsters over to the Junior Firefighters Trick or Treat event from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.
“We want to provide a safe, fun location for the family. Bring your costumed kids to the fun stop created by our Junior Firefighters organization,” Grapeland Fire Chief and County Fire Marshal Roger Dickey said.
There will be treats and games and lots of fun. The fire department will also hand out fire safety information for kids and parents alike.
Dickey reminded the community it is time for the annual Toys for Tots gift drive, and anyone can contribute to that campaign. New, unwrapped toys are welcome at the Halloween event.
“We look forward to visiting with our community and the local kiddos this Monday,” he said.
