Donald Ray Turner

Donald Ray Turner, age 71, passed away on October 20, 2016 in South Houston, Texas. He was born on October 6, 1945 in Crockett, Texas. After graduating from high school, he moved to Houston and started working as a baker with Piccadilly Cafeteria. Ray quickly moved up to General Manager and spent 50 dedicated years with Piccadilly. He loved his family, friends, cooking and baking, his garden, produce shopping at Froberg’s and going for drives.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Araceli Turner of South Houston; mother, Lorene Allee of Crockett; daughter, Stephanie O’Neal of Cedar Creek; son, Michael Turner of Crockett; grandsons Justin O’Neal of Huntsville, Ryan Turner of Denton, and Austin O’Neal of Stephenville; sister, Susan Barrett of Crockett; brothers, Stephen Allee of Crockett, and Donald Stephen Turner of Sante Fe; special nephew, Jr. Aguilar of Pasadena; special niece, Jemima Aguilar of Pasadena; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved very much.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Alton Turner and his step-father, Jack Allee who was truly a father to him; maternal grandparents, Bert and Bessie Rhone Peterson; and paternal grandparents, Alton and Emma Oliver Turner.

Memorial services for Donald Ray Turner will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel in Crockett, Texas.
