Samuel Robert Payne
Samuel Robert Payne, age 80, of Latexo passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Houston County Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1936 in Arp, Texas to parents, Sammie Payne and Edna Goss Payne. He was a member of the North Loop Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict, and a retired welder and school teacher.
He is survived by his loving partner, Susan Ferrell of Crockett; her children, Ashley Gloede of Crockett, Michael Gloede of Venus; loving friends, Jean McClain of Kennard, Matt and Kathy Wells of Latexo, John Tatum of Latexo, Rev. Dennis and Cindy Lowery of Crockett, Bianca Siobhan of Crockett, Lisa Duvall of Crockett; numerous friends from the North Loop Baptist Church and also from the Latexo and Crockett area.
Memorial services for Samuel Robert Payne will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dennis Lowery to officiate.
