PALESTINE – The 100 block of West Dallas Street in Palestine was a busy place on Sept. 23 at 8:30 a.m.
The Palestine Police Department executed a search warrant at the site and recovered approximately 14 grams of methamphetamines and a small amount of marijuana.
The investigation and recovery of the narcotics led to the arrests of Keley Henderson, 27 and Brodrick Orr, 26, both of Palestine.
Henderson was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance between 4 and 200 grams, Possession of Marijuana, less than two ounces, and two counts of Child Endangerment. Henderson’s bonds totaled $51,500.
Orr was charged with Possession of Marijuana, less than two ounces and has a bond of $500. It’s not over yet, this case is still under investigation by the Palestine Police Department Narcotics Unit.Methamphetamine use is a spreading problem and no one user or dealer is alone. Most are part of a larger network which continually expands, according to DEA studies in 2014.
Communities and residents concerned about the prevalence and expansion of methamphetamines are encouraged to report suspected use or distribution.
According to Lt. Justin Willoughby, “Anyone with information regarding this investigation or any other is urged to contact the Palestine Police Department. Remember, information can be submitted anonymously by texting PALPD plus the information to 847411.”
