Joe Burson
Mrs. Joe Burson, age 98, of Crockett passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in the Winfield Nursing Center. She was born February 4, 1918 in Creek, Texas to parents, Earl Hester, Sr. and Hallie Hallmark Hester. Mrs. Burson was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Leonard Haley and wife, Linda of Huntsville, Paul Haley and wife, Elizabeth of Lovelady, Lloyd Burson and wife, Jeannette of Trinity, Cater Burson, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Crockett; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Hester, Jr. and wife, Bonnie; sister, Daisy Jeffus and husband, David; special friend, Barbara Carroll; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by husbands, L.B. Haley and Cater Burson, Sr.; sons, Joe Haley and Carl Burson; and parents, Earl Hester, Sr. and Hallie Hallmark Hester.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joe Burson will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
